APEC ESSENCE ROES-50 Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System Review

For quite a while now, the APEC brand has been the gold standard among reverse osmosis water filtration systems. Essentially, if you see the APEC brand, you can expect a high degree of quality, but how does the ESSENCE ROES-50 stand up to other APEC models? Well, it takes the same quality standard, the one that sees 99 percent of contaminants removed from water, and makes it easier to install and use for the consumer.

Improvements have been made to the look of the faucet and the materials of the water filter system to assure that you can hook this bad boy up without spending a whole day fiddling around under the sink.

The APEC uses a 5-stage purification system that pushes water through three carbon filters, a .0001 micron membrane, and a final finishing stage in order to give you the cleanest and best tasting water you’ve ever had in your life.

The stages not only filter water relatively quickly, but it removes up to 99 percent of contaminates including chlorine, lead, arsenic, fluoride, bacteria, other heavy metals, and even hormones and pharmaceuticals, certified by the WQA for its purification quality.

Once the water has been cleaned, it stays cleaned by traveling through FDA-Certified food-grade tubing into a sealed 11” x 11” x 15” rubber tank and out of a 100 percent lead-free chrome faucet that assures that once your water is filtered, it is never getting recontaminated again. This kind of quality is something you can expect from APEC, a USA-built and manufactuered brand that guarantees your water safety and your health. Of course, if it isn’t up to your standard, the model also comes with a handy one-year warranty so you can return or replace it if it arrives broken or doesn’t work as well as you’d like it to.

However, while it does a bang up job at filtering water, the best part of the APEC ESSENCE ROES-50 is how easy it is to install. The system is advertised as noise and trouble-free, and at first the term “trouble-free” was kind of a head scratcher, but if you have ever tried to install other reverse osmosis systems, you will soon understand.

It connects with high-quality Quick Connect fittings that feature no extra lock clips or steps to seal leaks, but yet, stop leaks like, you know, you would expect of a water filtration system. The connections require no tools to install, you just merely need to tighten them with your fingers and let it go to town. However you will need a drill to at least create a place to mount the faucet.

The system itself is designed to fit in your typical kitchen cabinet so it is nice and compact, and works wonderfully. With the storage tank, it is rated to clean about 50 gallons of water per day with the functionality to stop once the storage is full just in case you aren’t quite that thirsty. The product also comes with two replacement filters. However, you will need to buy replacement membranes for it as needed.
